The propeller blade was recovered by the Royal Netherlands Air Force salvage team and donated in memory of the crew from 115 Squadron RAF Witchford who died at the scene on the 21st of July 1944. The dedication also extends to 166 Squadron (1943-1945). Fresh flowers are donated each week by a local lady because "she feels someone should".
