This view has been blocked for many years by other buildings, which have recently been demolished as part of the major rebuild of the University of Glasgow campus. The building was designed by James Sellars (Cambell Douglas & Sellars), and completed John Keppie, 1888-89. It is Category B listed http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB32867.
