Formerly almshouses founded by Mrs Glyn of Glynllifon. Still marked as such on OS 1:50000 map, but as Tai Elen Glyn on the 1:25000. The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland (1868) contains the following reference: “Here is an hospital, or almshouse, founded by Mrs. Glynne, for the reception of twelve ladies of reduced circumstances, and endowed with property producing £200 per annum. There are other charities amounting to about £18.”
