Developed by Alexander Dennis, in collaboration with Lothian Buses, 42 of these 100-seat [129 total capacity] Enviro400XLB double-decker buses, began operating on two routes [nos. 11 and 16] earlier in the year. They are made in Falkirk, and are the largest buses operating in the UK. The cost of £11.3 million for the fleet works out at around £270k per bus.
