The milepost, now located in a private garden in Quidhampton, was originally located on Wilton Road, near the acute-angled junction with Skew Road, on the south side of the road. Parish of Quidhampton (Salisbury District). Cast iron post, C&M Classical iron casting, erected by the Fisherton, Wilton, Heytesbury, Willoughby Hedge & Redhone turnpike trust in the 19th century. Grid reference refers to the approximate original location of the milepost. Inscription reads:- SALISBURY 2 WARMINSTER 19 Milestone Society National ID: WI_SAWM022
