Carved stone post by the former A30, in parish of Basingstoke (Basingstoke and Deane District), Eastrop Park, on the verge opposite start of houses, on South side of road. Hartford limestone diamond, erected by the Basingstoke, Hartfordbridge & Blackwater (and Odiham) turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : BASINGSTOKE / ½ : : LONDON / 45 : : HARTFORD / BRIDGE / 9¼ : : 45 / Miles from / Hyde Park / Corner : Carved benchmark on right face. Grade II listed.
