Metal plate attached to stone post by the A360, in parish of SOUTH NEWTON (SALISBURY District), Camp Hill; 100m South of junction with The Avenue, on the verge, on West side of road. Salisbury plate, erected by the Fisherton, Wilton, Heytesbury, Willoughby Hedge & Redhone turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- SALISBURY 3 DEVIZES 20 Carved benchmark left lower.
