Gun emplacement - One Tree Hill

This structure on the top of One Tree Hill was built in 1916 to mount a naval gun in order to defend London from German air raids. In fact, it is believed that the gun never shot down a Zeppelin but may have damaged tramlines in the Peckham Rye area.
