It would appear that building work is scheduled to take place here. My first band 'gig', with Bob Dunlop (two-row melodeon), Clive Ray (one-row melodeon) and myself (Anglo concertina), going under the name of 'Captain Khazi and the Galloping Majors', with Mick Scott as the caller, took place here. The timing must have been around mid/late summer 1984, as I recall coming up with the band name about two pints into an evening session on the night before a certain morris tour to Austria (end May/early June 1984). It certainly took Bob a few weeks to teach Clive and myself the tunes. I seem to recall that we went down a storm, and, flushed with success, wondered where our next 'gig' was coming from.
