Wine merchants at 5-7 Corporation Square “DWS is Belfast’s oldest independent wine merchant, having traded since 1954. In fact the McAlindon family has been involved in the drinks industry for more than 80 years” - company website. I have no connection with the business. The building overlooks the site of Ritchie’s Dock Image, an area now occupied by the Harbour Office. In 1918 the site was occupied by “5, 7. Ekin, Robertson, & Peacock, wholesale seed merchants” and by “7  James Lemon, ship owner, ship chandler, patent rope and canvas manufacturer; agent for  Marine Association of Underwriters, Dublin and Vicille Montague Zinc Mining Company; residence, Ardville, Holywood 5  Allen Watters, baker and grocer” in 1861.
