The plaque in George Lane United Reformed Church reads: IN LOVING REMEMBRANCE OF JOSEPH WILLIAM YOUNG WHOSE CHARACTER AND SERVICE ENRICHED THE LIFE OF THIS CHURCH FOR MORE THAN THIRTY YEARS HE SERVED AS TEACHER SUNDAY SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT AND DEACON AND PASSED AWAY 15TH DECEMBER 1943
