Carved stone post by the A688, in parish of CLEATLAM (TEESDALE District), Streatlam Farm, 600m North East of High Barford Farmhouse, on verge, on South side of road. Bowes stone, erected by the Bowes & Sunderland Bridge turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : (BOWES) / 8 : : DURHAM / 21 : Grade II Listed.
