The milestone is located half way up the hill, close to the road edge on the north side of road. Parish of Probus (Carrick District). Carved stone post, Truro stone design, erected by the Truro turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- FROM TRURO 5 MILES Carved benchmark on front face. Grade II Listed.
