Metal plate attached to stone post by the A591 (former A66), in parish of KESWICK (ALLERDALE District), Briery, set into stone wall, on North side of road. Keswick iron plate, erected by the Keswick turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- PENRITH 17 MILES KESWICK 1 MILES Milestone Society National ID: CU_PRKS17.
