Carved stone post by the B1393, in parish of Epping (Epping Forest District), Thornwood Common, opposite filling station, back of shallow ditch, on East side of road. Erected by the Woodford & Harlow Turnpike Trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : EPPING / 2 : : LONDON / 18 : : HARLOW / 4 : Carved bench mark on left face. Milestone Society National ID: EX_WFHW18.
