Mill Lane is a Green Lane which means you can take your car up it if you wish. The last time I came this way, about ten years ago on a muddy winter's day a convoy of landrovers was trying to get up it. One had toppled on its side and they were using winches to try to recover. Apparently it was a challenge. Gladly it seems the off roaders no longer use it and the lane shows signs of recovering from the damage caused although there are still signs of recent motor bikes.
