This was founded by a breakaway group from the Wesleyans. It was built in 1870 and a Sunday School added at the northern end in 1908. The two buildings were modernised and linked in the 1970s, when a new manse (on the left) was also built. In 1971 the various Methodist chapels in the area amalgamated in the Bradford Road premises, and the chapels at Westgate Hill and Old Lane were demolished.
