Wallacewell Children's Unit at 70 Wallacewell Quadrant was a purpose built property that provided 24 hour residential care and support for children and young people being looked after and accommodated by the local authority. The home closed sometime after September 2012, and all the doors and windows are boarded up with aluminium sheets to keep people out. There is evidence of smoke damage around the entrance way, which suggests they were put up too late.
