Taken sometime in the 1970s, this ancient cobbled street contains buildings dating back to Tudor period and has an entrance to Windsor Castle at the far end. The second building on the right (with the projecting front) is "Ye Olde Kings Head", said to be where Shakespeare sat and wrote "The Merry Wives of Windsor" sometime around the year 1597.
