Taken looking west towards the main entrance in Wells Road. The arches carrying the Hammersmith & City Underground Line can be seen in the far distance. The garage buildings date from 1954 and are of reinforced concrete construction. Note the massive box girders running east to west carrying service pipes, electric conduits and rain-water pipes. Although the garage is well lit by the glazed areas between the girders, its unique lack of extractor fans is something of a drawback at busy times.
