Blagdon School

This village school has a rather older history. A Thomas Baynard left an endowment in his will of 1687 for the funding of a teacher to educate the children. Also, Hannah More, the famed bluestocking, tried to establish a Sunday School in the late eighteenth century. This building is the current school.
