Set back from Newport Road near Donington, the village War Memorial is a 2-metre high wooden calvary beneath a curved canopy. The Christ figure is carved from olive wood. Inscribed on the shaft are 1914-1918 and the names of local people who gave their lives during the two World Wars. The memorial, similar to roadside calvaries seen in Flanders, was unveiled in 1920. It was Grade II listed in 2008.
