There is a planning application to demolish and replace the flats and St John Ambulance building. It is described in the application as "Contextually incongruous Negative Contribution to Visual Amenity of the Surrounds" Also a negative contribution to someone making a profit, but I'm sure the aesthetic judgement is not influenced by this.
