A pleasing exhibition of building materials — the varied green and brown sandstone, the hard cream brick probably from North Devon, slate on the roof capped by red clay ridge tiles, and brown brick chimneys. Note also the local stone in rubble form on the right, and the pebbledash finish to the house on the left.
