The old road out of Oakamoor

This footpath is on the line of the old road out of Oakamoor which ran through Old Star. It fell into disuse after the Blyth Marsh to Thorpe turnpike, now the B5417, was built through Oakamoor in 1762. The path still follows the rough embankment that carried the road.
