Looking along the prom on an extremely windy afternoon - the three walkers directly ahead will not find it too hard going but those in the distance, walking towards us, will have a job thanks to the sand being swept in their faces. I turned back and had to shield my eyes continuously with my sleeve and look straight down, hoping that any scars in the tarmac, which were all I could follow, wouldn't fizzle out.
