The former bus station was built in the 1950s but ceased working as such sometime in the 1970s or 80s whereupon the ground floor was let to retail units and the upper floors as offices. Now awaiting demolition as part of a development to build a new entrance to the station, a multi storey car park and a new Waitrose supermarket.
