Planning permission has been granted by Dover District Council under application number 14/00663 for “part demolition of garage for access to rear and reinstatement after works have been completed”. On the application form, under the heading “explanation of proposed demolition works”, the reason given was to provide construction access for the flood defence works along the river front.
