Amelie Rose was built by Luke Powell in Gweek, Cornwall and is modelled on an early-1800s pilot cutter from the Scillies. Based in north Dorset, she was launched by two people who quit their IT jobs here in London to reconnect people with Britain's maritime heritage and history. She was recently featured in the ITV series The Hungry Sailors.
