This was the wettest August bank Holiday I can ever remember with heavy rain from beginning to end. This is Brack Lane to the north of Brookland, seen from the junction with Grove Lane. The bleakness of the day made these overgrown lanes seem even more remote. Brack Lane was actually closed to traffic just ahead.
