Friday Ad was originally a free local classifications paper first published in the Uckfield area back in 1975, since then it has grown and now encompasses online selling as well as still releasing their publication every Friday. The offices are located on the site of what was originally Stroods House which became a hotel after the First World War and later a motel by the 1970s with its own nightclub. The latter survived until it was closed in 1988 after which the site became vacant until the current offices were built about a decade ago.
