Although this gear (and supporting buildings) are in the same location as the original mine's equipment, this is in fact from a North Wales lead mine, donated especially to the gold mine museum (now no longer an active mine). The wheel in the background is in fact a water wheel built by Adam Hart-Davies when he visited the gold mine to film a section for his series What The Romans Did For Us, temporarily dismantled while some maintenance is being performed at the site.
