The lifeboat service on Lough Neagh is operated by Lough Neagh Rescue. It was formed in 1989 following the drowning of one of the crew of a small boat. It is approved by HMCG and operates in a similar manner to the RNLI. There are two stations, one at Ardboe on the Co Tyrone shore and this one at Kinnegoe on the Co Armagh shore. It is opposite the marina (but in a different square).
