This large demolition site, approximately 5 hectares in area, is where new superstores are planned for Marks and Spencer and Sainsbury's. The removal of all the shops and warehouses formerly on the site gave a temporary uninterrupted view towards the hillside west of Charlton, including the prominent school building Image
