Opened in 1837 by the Glasgow, Garnkirk & Coatbridge Railway, this station closed in 1962. It was rebuilt on the same site and reopened in 2005. View east towards Coatbridge and Cumbernauld at the time the first electrification masts were being erected. Hidden from view is the M73 - but you could hear it.
