Speeding has again been voted a priority in the August 2025 community survey.
Speeding is a constant issue in all our areas. The villages are relatively small and lots have school which raises additional concerns.

The local neighbourhood policing team are working to reduce speeding and make the communities safer. We will measure improvement by comparing previous reports/surveys to those moving forward and all results will be shared in future updates.
Following on from the schools poster competition, posters should be visible in the village shortly. Aug speed watch in Stewkley confirmed 30 cars were driving within the speed limit. Speed surveys to continue during Sept/Oct and results shared. These results will be used to determine sites for enforcement actions.
The new community survey is now open on Facebook and via TV Alerts and these priorities will be reviewed and updated as per the votes in Jan 2026.
This actions will be reviewed 30th monthly to ensure progress and revise actions where needed. The priority will be reviewed quarterly in line with community survey results.

Most ASB reports are around drug use -
- Reports of drug use at the sports club in Wing.
- Reports of drug use on the sports field in Pitstone.
- Wingrave sports pavilion
- ASB, criminal damage and verbally abusive youths in Wing Spinney and Wingrave sports field.

The local neighbourhood policing team are working to reduce drug related ASB.
We will measure improvements by comparing numbers of previous reports to those reported moving forward and all results to be shared in future updates. In August 2025 we had 11 reported ASB incidents, of which 9 were community ASB. Update Sept - 26 reported cases of ASB of which 9 are community, an increase on the previous month. Oct update saw 15 reported ASB incidents of which 4 community.

1 environmental
Actions to include hi visibility patrols with stop and search actions and working with the local community to gather intel to identify and deal with offenders. We are working with partner agencies during Sept/*Oct to address local issues.

The local neighbourhood policing team are working to reduce burglary incidents across our rural areas.
We will measure improvements by comparing number of previous reports to those numbers moving forward, all data will be shared in future updates. August 2025 saw 1 attempted residential burglary. Update Sept 3 reported burglaries. and increase on the previous month Oct update saw 1 recorded residential burglary along with 3 outbuilding shed burglary incidents. 3 business burglary reports and 1 attempted burglary business reported. Nov - 1 residential burglary and 1 recorded attempt.
Actions to include hi visibility patrols, engaging with residents through minimum monthly have your say events and providing crime prevention advice. As we approach darker evenings advice will be circulated regarding home security and the ;leave a light on; campaign.

•Leighton Road, Northall – Two drivers issued with Traffic Offence Reports for consideration of a Speed Awareness Course.

•Ivinghoe High Street – Several drivers spoken to regarding excess speed.
•Cheddington Road, Mentmore – Two drivers reported to court for excess speed.
•High Street North/South, Stewkley – Several drivers spoken to regarding excess speed.

A significant proportion of reports relate to neighbour disputes, which are recorded as ASB.
To address the concerns about ASB the team has been carrying out high-visibility patrols, including the use of stop and search powers where appropriate; Engagement with the local community to gather intelligence and close working with partner agencies to identify and tackle the underlying issues.
Pitstone Area Update
The team identified ongoing ASB issues in Pitstone, particularly around the Skate Park and Memorial Hall, where groups of youths were congregating. In response:
Officers conducted high-visibility patrols and engaged directly with young people and local businesses
No ASB incidents were reported while officers were present
Parents and business staff were advised on how to report issues promptly
During December, several reports were received regarding large groups of youths travelling into the area from elsewhere. As a result, a police operation was implemented to increase patrols and intercept those identified as being involved.
The latest community survey has now closed, and ASB remains a priority.
Actions will be reviewed monthly to ensure continued progress and adjusted where necessary
