Maiden Law is a small County Durham village through which the A6076 passes; the road is seen here entering from the south. Many places in County Durham are named on road signs with yellow wording on a blue background and edged with yellow too. In some cases, as here, a 30 mph speed limit notice is incorporated into the sign.
