Working on the Dean Forest Railway, this engine was built at Swindon in 1949, spent most of its working life in Wales and was withdrawn from service in 1965. It was rescued from the Barry scrapyard in 1975 and moved again under its own steam in 1984. Since then it has been in almost continuous service with the Dean Forest Railway.
