This is the Grade II-listed former mill alongside the towpath, looking in the direction of "Pastures Lock" and eventually, to the Gallows Inn suburb of Ilkeston. The mill was built in 1888 as a tenanted lace factory, for Terah Hooley a wealthy local industrialist, by the architect John Sheldon of Long Eaton. It now houses 105 residential units.
