Three 5-bay houses, two built as a pair, facing the castle. This would have been a prestigious location when built in the mid 18th century. 19th century retail prosperity resulted in the imposition of shop fronts, but the tide of change means that all the once fine shops are now relegated to fast food outlets. Listed Grade II.
