This mighty megalith (2.7 metres tall) looks impressive in its bleak moorland surroundings whatever the weather. In this view from the south, the sightline to the fortified crag of Garn Fawr in the north is evident. Rhos y Clegyrn means stony moor, or moor of the rock. There was once another stone and maybe more extensive prehistoric remains here.
