View from newly refurbished Town Bridge, west into the inner harbour. North Quay is on the left with Weymouth and Portland Council offices on the extreme left edge. The harbour/River Wey turns north with Westwey House government offices (DPW and County Court) in the centre background on the other side of Westwey Road. On the right edge is the quay by Commercial Road with first a former warehouse then the white painted Sailor's Return, which is on the corner of St Nicholas Street which used to be the approach road to the old town bridge prior to the current one being built in 1930. Note in the right background the old gasometer on the other side of Westwey Road.
