This very substantial Edwardian detached five bedroomed house, built in 1904, is one of many grand residences from the early 20th century, found along the A449 Penn Road out of Wolverhampton. This is at the junction with Copthorne Road. Longfield. The local history website http://www.localhistory.scit.wlv.ac.uk/listed/pennrd152.htm describes this as a "turn of the century gentleman's residence, one of many built (in Domestic Revival style) along the Penn Road at the end of the 19th century and at the turn of the century ... unusual and very good example of an Arts and Crafts version of the genre. It is pure mock Tudor at the front and entirely Voiseyesque at the back." Grade II listed. http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-469194-longfield-152-wolverhampton
