One of the most innovative post-war housing estates, by Camden Council's Architects' Department, 1972-78. A central walkway, evoking the idea of a traditional street, provides access to two tiers of flats. The sweep is impressive, and while there is a slightly cramped air to the flats, all of them have outdoor space, and there is a park further right. Behind the left bank is a railway (Image]). A passing resident told me she had lived here for twenty years and loved it. It may not be a statistically robust sample, but it's something. Grade II* listed.
