Viewed across Henllys Lane. A stone inscription on the building records that it was formerly a Rogerstone & Henllis School Board Public Elementary School, opened in 1878. The partly-anglicised spelling Henllis was used for Henllys. The school, later known as Henllys Junior and Infant school, existed for nearly 113 years. It closed at the end of the summer term, in July 1991.
