Completed in 1897 for Willans & Robinson and originally known as Willans Works. they originally built the high speed central valve steam engine here but from the 1900s onwards started to build steam turbines and still do so. The tower and clock are original. Photography is not allowed on site (except under exceptional circumstances) and this is taken from outside the secure perimeter fence.
