Retail park may be the wrong term but here a well known hotel chain and associated public house / carvery pub chain hostelry have been established, with the further option of drive-thru fast food too. All very smart but wedding together the evils of car dependency, alcohol consumption, huge food portions at low prices and junk food. No doubt creating jobs but some say simply sucking existing jobs from town centres elsewhere. How did I set off on this disapproving rant? I like the occasional KFC, appreciate value for money accommodation and a carvery professionally delivered is a fine alternative sometimes to a Sunday lunch. Especially if accompanied by a decently kept pint. Each to their own.
