The recently installed cycle lockers were apparently not yet in use - all were empty and padlocked. The Fallowfield Loop cycleway , which previously used the trackbed here has been diverted to run along one side of the tram line, before continuing along a disused railway line towards Fallowfield. The tram line to St Werburgh's Road had opened the previous month. Update: March 2013. The lockers have recently received 'BLUC' stickers. It turns out you have to pay to join Transport for Greater Manchester's Bicycle Locker User's Club before you can use them. The lockers are first come first served, but you need to get a key for the padlock (which you then remove and replace with your own), making sure you attach your membership card to the bike. I can only think this must actually be an attempt to reduce demand. http://cycling.tfgm.com/cycling-bluc.htm
