The Geograph project started in 2005 with the aim of publishing, organising and preserving representative images for every square kilometre of Great Britain, Ireland and the Isle of Man.

The road to Nutcombe crosses the new line of the A3 here, as it heads away from the new Hindhead tunnel. Work has stopped for the Christmas period, and perhaps also the snow. In Summer 2011 this will be open and cars will be using this route instead of the slip roads either side.
