Located on Glendower Street. The station is part of Gwent Police, which is responsible for an area of 600 square miles, from Abergavenny in the north, Newport in the south, Chepstow in the east and Caerphilly in the west. Gwent survives in the name of the police force, though Gwent County Council was abolished in April 1996.
